NFL Week 6 Picks

Going to try to make this quick but I did terrible on my picks last week so I don’t want to have a mess like that occur again. Here goes nothin’

Seattle Seahawks vs Chicago Bears

Still not impressed with the Bears but the Seahawks have played like trash on the road and I’m picking against them  in every road game until they prove me otherwise. Plus, Chicago has Jay Cutler back and that should help them a lot. Just gotta keep the ball out of Earl Thomas’ hands. I am interested to see how Marshawn Lynch plays, though.

Pick: Da Bears

Miami Dolphins vs Green Bay Packers

Should be one of the most entertaining games of the week. I might side with Miami here because the Packers are really banged up. At least the Packers have Aaron Rodgers back but I’m still going to take the Dolphins in an “upset.” Green Bay’s passing defense has been very porous and it’s a good chance for Brandon Marshall to run wild… if Chad Henne can get him the ball.

Pick: ‘Fins

San Diego Chargers vs. St Louis Rams

This seems almost like a trap game for the Chargers seeing how they’re already huge favorites but have lost to three beatable teams on the road this year. I don’t think the Rams have what it takes to keep up with SD’s offense, though.

Pick: Bolts

Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots

I’m finally sold on this Ravens team and I think they will win this game. Randy Moss being traded won’t have that big of an impact on the Pats passing game but Flacco’s been improving and he can definitely take advantage of the Pats corners.

Pick: Ravens

Detroit Lions vs. New York Giants

Yeah, I don’t see any way that the Giants lose this game even if Detroit is coming off a win. The Giants offense is on a roll right now and Detroit’s D is still suspect, as far as I’m concerned.

Pick: G-Men

Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Finally, a challenging opponent for the Eagles. Kevin Kolb is going to struggle big time in this game and the Falcons offense should have a field day tomorrow.

Pick: Falcons

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers have looked good even without Big Ben and they finally get him back this week. The Browns are also starting rookie Colt McCoy. Not good to throw a rookie out into the wolves in his first start but they have no other choice. Steelers got this.

Pick: Stillers

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I could see Tampa giving the Saints a scare but they need to redeem themselves after their implosion against the Cardinals last week. This game should be a good barometer to judge if the Bucs are for real or not, though.

Pick: Saints

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans

Matt Cassel has a good matchup against the Texans pass D but his arm along with a questionable receiving corps could be the downfall for KC. It’s definitely a must win for Houston so I think they will win. KC has a better shot than the experts are giving them, though.

Pick: Texans

New York Jets vs Denver Broncos

Denver’s offense would be awesome if they could do one small thing; get in the endzone. The Jets have to like their chances here. The Broncos have been completely one dimensional here so their secondary can know what to expect on almost every play and shut them down easier. Unless the Donks develop some kind of running game, then the Jets should win.

Pick: J-E-T-S

San Francisco 49ers vs. Oakland Raiders

It’s time to be cheesy and say that the Niners owner’s expectations will motivate them to get their first win of the year….or not. SF is a mess and Oakland’s not a “guaranteed” win for them and the Niners will need to find some sense of unity in order to win.

Pick: Raiders

Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings

I will take the Cowboys simply for the fact that they’ve played better this year but have run into a lot of stupid mental mistakes to get into a 1-3 hole. Romo should be able to pick apart this Vikings secondary and avoid another stupid loss.

Pick: Cowboys

Indianapolis Colts vs Washington Redskins

I’m going to be a fool here and take the Redskins. They’ll have to do what the Jags did, though; play a perfect game.

Pick: Skins

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans

I think the Titans will win this because they have a better offense, in my opinion. Their new and improved special teams should help them win, too like it did last week.

Pick: Titans
